What is the fastest you have ever been in a car on the road (whether you are driving or riding)?


Little story that happened to me on Saturday:
I was on my way home, two guys on sport bikes come up on me. One of them ride up next to me and revs on me. We go at it, I downshifted from 6th to 5th, then quickly to 4th and guned it. I topped out 4th gear at 140 and let off. We stayed pretty much equal till about 125 then the bike started passing and really was going when we let off at 135-140. I then look back and what do I see? The other guy is back there riding an awesome wheelie. He passes me and rides on a bit. All this time I am in amazement and forgot about the camera but then remembered. I grab it and I go to catch up. I get next to them and I am waving/signalling them to do another wheelie (pointing to the camera, etc). They wait for the right moment and let em rip.



They got off at the next exit and we waved at each other. Cool guys they were. Awesome stuff! :rockon:


So, 140 is my top speed so far. What about you?

I've been about 130-135MPH. I wasn't driving though. It was scary as hell because the road we was on had a lot of hills on it. h34r:

er I've been 180 miles per hour off the road in a Merclaren Mercedes 0-60 in 3.5 secs I think and 139 on the road in my dads calibra low suspention special DTM edition onl 400 ever made 103 left!
That was fun!

Since he was in a Mclaren Mercedes, I would assume off road= off the street and on a race track.

My mom took me to a jr. nascar-like racetrack. one big race. I ended up going around a mile long track at nearly 230...
