| Senior Forumer ![]() | A password protect forum could be used from range of user groups not just one single group like mods. So if you wanted some members and mods to be able to see it for a certain reason you just tell them the password, and it looks cool. |

| Senior Forumer ![]() | Well their there for a reason of alot of different situations. Here, allow me to give you an example, say you've set up a "Staff" user group and you've created a private forum that only they can view. Now let's just say that the forum is not password protected and it just so happens that someone cracks into a member of you're boards staff account, then they'd be able to read the staff room, however if it was password protected and a member of staffs account was cracked they'd have to crack yet another password to enter the password protected forum. It's more of a high security option then anything else. ![]() |
