I personally use it myself. Ubuntu is the one I am using at this time and never had a problem

I use to run Mandrake and Red Hat before. I like its stability, but Im not use to the whole "type out 10 commands in a command prompt" to install something and it was hard to get use to. Other than that, I liked it. I still have a few "live" cds I use like P.H.L.A.K. and Knoppix STD.

I've voted the top on, I tried, I liked, however I don't run linux on any of the computer in my house (yet).
I'll probably run it in the future soon enough an the pc.

Your laptop would run better when using linux. It's a lovely light OS, why not try a partition and see.
