back to the question... i got another alternative...

1. A user can only Post One Topic
2. Then they have to close they're thread
3. After a month they can open it back and then againh closed it when he/she finish
4. Topic that violate the 3 step above will be delete and poster will be warn/barn depend on Support Team

the only prob is limez have to enable members to open/close own topic.

Interesting idea however, I think Pappy is right. The members would still not read the rules and wouldn't know to close their own topics and such. Mabey you should make a giant flashing red rules text appear right above the box where members post. :lol: Actually, a link above the posting box to the rules might not be a bad idea.

Try using this

Adding Individual Forum Rules

1. AdminCP > Forum Control > Manage Forums
2. Select at forum you want to add the rules
3. put in Display method as "Show full text".

put those big red posting rule in there... just need a simple HTML Tag and you done

Too bad there isn't a way to automaticaly ban members from posting in the show off area for 30 days after they post.

You can set it so that members can't reply to their own topics if that is what you mean
