Exclamation vBulletin ?

I find it funny that the support forum here uses vBulletin instead of their own product !

Forumer does not own IPB nor PHPBB. It runs them. Also what is with the size of the font.

They use vBulletin so the members don't think that forumer likes one forum better than the other.

huncher - that font size and color is very annoying. Please refrain from posting like that.

Forumer.com only hosts IPB and phpBB forums - it does not own or manage either company. The support forums use vBulletin because it is a better choice for large support forums. There are no plans to offer vBulletin in the future as it costs money. If you were to search, you would have found the answer to your question.

Please do not PM me for support.

It's not really that--vBulletin is very capable for hosting forums with very large memberships. Some of the biggest forums out there use it.

Edit: Oops! I didn't see Winnopeg's reply. Sorry!

Er - That's not it either. O_o

It's not that vBulletin can hold more data - It uses the same database as IPB and phpBB. It's that it can manage that data in a more user-friendly way, keeping things simple. I personally prefer IPB, but whatever.

vBulletin is essentially a "better" forum engine, but it costs money, so you're not going to see it on free sites.

That's true! It's like what? $160 just for the licensing alone? That doesn't even include the cost of the server the forum will be hosted on.
