Default Netscape Problems

I have been having some problems with Netscape over the past few weeks. Netscape allows you to have profiles so you can customise your browser with home page and book marks, I set my profile as the defalt one so i never have to log in. Now in the past few weeks netscape has deleted my profile off my copm and it starts like when you 1st install it and I lose all of my bookmarks and pass words. Has anyone else that uses Netscape had this problem?
Also does FireFox have Password Manedger? IF so could soeone give me a link to download it.
Thanks for any help that you guys have

Sounds like a spyware problem to me... when was the last time you ran a scan?

http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Even IE has a password manager. o_0

AND if you have a Mac, you can simply use KeyChain.

Alright, well, even though you have system works, getting yourself a copy of Ad-Aware SE and Microsoft AntiSpyware is not a bad idea.

Do you have Spybot Search & Destroy? If not I recommend you get it too.

I Agree With Forumer.

Spybot is good, however, I personally believe that MSAS Real-Time protection is better than Spybot's immunize feature. Also, spybot seems to lack the professional looking interface that most users in the computer world today require. It seems as though the program doesn't really know if removing an item will hurt your computer or not.

I don't like SB that much. :-/

No, attitude, it doesn't. Regardless if you block it, that isn't always blocking everything. Remember all that stuff that was found in your HijackThis log? THAT is what is installing the toolbars and other spyware.

I'm actually quite impressed that Microsoft is now actually putting out definition updates for MSAS.

Microsoft AntiSpyware is terrible. Instead of deleting the spyware it deletes the whole program! its seriously terrible don't use it. I once deleted my whole warez p2p shared folder because microsoft antispyware said the ads where spyware and removed everything! that included everything I downloaded.

What a load of crap use ad-aware.

It's only 'crap' as you crudely put it, if you don't know how to use it properly. Anyway peer-to-peer downloads often contain viruses / spyware as well, not just the application you use to find or download them. It requires you to click the button to tell it to delete files - therefore it is surely you're fault that your downloads are gone.

You use IE don't you? - if so that'll probably be the problem, not the anti-spyware application.
