Hi there,

I've signed up with phpBB, but I'm trying to decide if I should go with IPB instead. On the main www.forumer.com page, there's a link to "IPB Features," which is great. But when I clicked on "phpBB Features," nothing really happened (seemed to have moved to an anchor somewhere on the same front page).

Does anyone know where the page listing phpBB features is? Or is there a thread on this forum that covers all this (sorry, I searched first, but couldn't find anything)? Thanks so much!

Right now IPB has many more featurs, but whenphpbb3 comes out that will all change

phpbb3 is coming with very very many new features. try doing a google search to learn more.

The features listed right there on the homepage are the only ones that Limez has written down for phpBB. There are many more features, but if you are looking for a feature-rich board, go with IPB.

OR, wait until the release of phpBB3.

Except, that this is not a good idea to go with IPB, because when phpBB3 stable comes out and we update the forums, the IPB users will nto be able to update to phpBB3.

THUS, I RECOMMEND, that EVERYONE gets phpBB2 forums. (however, if you MUST have the extra bells and whistles of IPB, then you can get it. That's why we offer both options).

Again, official recomendation is to get a PHPBB forum.

Thank you, Limzez. Your recommedation definitely made me want to give phpBB2 further consideration. Will do some research on phpBB3, as you suggested.

you can't sign up for two forums with the same email address.
