My son is 15 years old and has a problem. I found out about it at school just 2 weeks ago when I received a phone call off the principal saying that my son keeps stripping to his briefs all the time in school no matter where he is.

He did it in PE and the lesson had to be cancelled because of the attention he drew. Then he embarrassed the school on a field trip to a museum
by doing the same thing.

He does it no matter where he is, says the school, and we have been invited to discuss the matter further next week.

Initially I thought it was just a bit of attention-seeking, but it seems much more serious than that.

My son even stripped to his briefs on sports day and then ran round the athletics track thinking it was funny.

My son is now talking about a career where he can just be in his underwear all the time.

Anyone know what problem my son has, and how we can help him??

Advice would be appreciated.

Something just does not sound right with this story.

A. if your "son" has had this problem several times in school, he would not be in school anymore. As any school will suspend/send home a person who is just innapropriatly dressed. Let alone somoene who willingly undresses to his underwear several times.

B. If your son did that in a museum he would be in jail, since thats not school grounds and most places like that would not hesitate to call the cops.

C. Maybe it's just me, but there has been a outbreak of the "stressed mom" stories floating the net anymore, and half of them don't even sound believable in the real world....

I would say you have to punish him and take away priviges one by one each time ho does this.

you just said he stripped down to his undies several occasions on school grounds. The fact you said no action was taken makes it more of a lie.

UNLESS your kid was mentally deficiant, the school would and will take action against him...... So your story is about as usefull as the 5 others that are on the first 2 pages of this forum.

The fact that the school or you have not mentioned the word pyscharitrist makes me think more about this. TRUST me on that. I never stripped to my undies at school, but i will gurantee you my behaviour wound up making a pysch doctor mandatory to my attendance at school.

My principlal favourite speech is Suspension Police Prison. God I thought that when a freind of mines just stripped and took off his shirt that that was bad. But shoot to strip down to his underwear that would have been a sight.
