Overated... yet very good. I think the iPod is a great powerful mp3 player, but as many say pretty pricy. I currently have a Sony MD Player, which holds music on small disks (5 hours maby) nothing compared to the iPod yet I don't mind moving my hand to take a disk in and out of the player. Some people buy it for the valid reason it stores alot. There are tons of mp3 players that store just as much as that for a much lower value and even lower if your willing to take off a little memory. Seriously all that memory isn't nessary, I'm not saying it couldn't be filled, but it's not that big of a hassale to change a disk when you want to listen to a diffrent 5 hours of music. The iPod is great and will always be the original, just a bit overated I think.

I algo have a 20GB iPod, third generation. They're excellent, but need to be more refined. They do have some major software bugs. They are also a bit pricey, the area that most are complaining about, but what can I say? Get a job. Anyways, it's been pretty good to me. I'm a huge Mac fan, so the iPod satisfies me. One more thing, though, Accessories are very expencive for what they actually do. >_>

I've also got an iPod 20Gb model, its a fantasic little thing, apart for storing music, I also back up all of my important work and sites on there too as its got so much space on it. I'd say if you can afford it, go for it - also if your're still in education, the discounts are great!

I don't have one but I want one, probably a 40 GB one, so I can download all my CD's onto it plus my 700+ MB of music.

Lol, it isn't worth getting an iPod for just over 700 MB of music. Might was well get a portable HD instead. I have just over 18 GB of music, and this is after re-formatting my computer and deleting the stuff I don't listen to. >_<

I've only been downloading music for a year, and it keeps growing. Plus, I keep buying CD's when I find one I like. I'd also probably keep it for a long time.

I have an MP3 Player, I don't go away from my computer often enough to merit an iPod ..My Mp3 is 120 MG which keeps me happy because I normally only use it when I can't sleep...
