I've just had a thought I know forumer won't be upgrading to version 2.0 but what if I paid forumer to have my board upgraded?
The reason I'm asking this and not going and buying my own licence is because I don't want to lose my forumer board but would like IPB 2.0 so if I paid Limez the money would he have it upgraded or is it not physically possible?

That would not be possible because it would be too much work and not worth the money.

The only thing I could do for you Limez is to offer you $100 on top of the licence fee for your maintenance.

if you were going to pay all that, you would be better off getting a dmain and installing a forum on it yourself.

this isn't fair limez is tempting me with ipb 2.0 Now I want it more then ever. Maybe if you secure enough users you could get a new server just for ipb 2.0? I want it bad

They could offer a server where you had to pay to get an IPB 2.0 that would be a good idea.

the fee would be well over $150 a month if something like that is going to happen.
I doubt there will be many (if not any) who's willing to pay that much to get a IPB2 board.

Nothing wrong with my original suggestion of paying to have my forum upgraded to IPB 2.0 though...but I understand it's too much hard work.
Thanks anyways and this is now resolved.

uhh it only costs $185.00 and you get that for the rest of your life. So you should only have to pay that and thats it. Then.. if you wanted to get rid of the ads if might be some extra price. But it should onl be $185

I think it's a good idea to have ad-sense but will the phpBB2 forums stay ad-free for long?
The IPB forums got the ads eventually.

I think it says banner-less there because atm phpBB 2 which is what forumer is offering is banner free. I don't know about any new IPBs when a server reopens for them though.

They are in the process of changing it. They can't just click a button and change all the images and text etc that says bannerless.

as for the IPB2 cost, you're forgettting the hosting charges. It costs money to allocate webscape,bandwidth,etc.. as well.
