Well no, the whole point of fShop is becuase fShop provides you with custom look and custom design of the shop and ability to integrate with your forum. So, first you create your products on CP's side, then you import them to the fShop.

The front page belongs to the MAIN category. So you need to go to Item management page in fShop and you need to select the products which you want to appear on the MAIN category.

I have only designed one template for now 'shop.html' & 'detail.html' (and shop2.html for testing)

You need to know HTML to create a template which matches with your forum's colors. In the future, hopefully other Forumers will create & share templates that are matching with some of the most popular forum skins.

When I have time I'll try create another preset skin for the shop, but if you want really custom looks, you'll need to do it yourself. (HTML is easy anyway) ..or use Dreamweaver or some free webpage editor.

Thx and done and done. That was helpful as I was pulling my hair out.

I can figure out the html myself, I mostly want to change the colors more than the template at this point.

Which leads me to ask: as far as integrating into our forums how do I upload this change??

how does one integrate the shop and it's template changes,
ie. where would I upload it?
Do I just leave a hypertext link in the forums or can I upload a radio button, banner, etc. (or some other means) to show that there is a store with items for sale at my site?

Cool, I tried the shop2 template yesterday & it was working, along w/the detail2 they look a bit better as the gray color matches w/my site better.

This is something we need to do on our end. I plan to do this maybe in a week or so.

Also i noticed a weird bug on the shop.
When I click on an item image it takes me to a page that displays the normal template but no image details just an error code as follows;

Under menu on right;
#child_menu#
#random_item#

Inside Items Window center;
#category_description#
#pages##items##pages#

Ah excuse me Limez, but im just wondering something. According to cafepress TOS you cant use images of famous folk, ie george bush, or any known logos etc. nor any images taken from the web? How strict is this rule? I had a few plans for some bush flogging t-shirts myself but opted out after reading the tos.
hence ive stuck to designs featuring my own pics so far.
can you clarify please?

Well I don't know. I recommend following the rules best you can.

But I see many images like this listed:

After doing some more research I found that you can use images of Political leaders, but you cannot use images of celebrities.

For example, you can use Arnold Schwarzenegger (as long as he is a politician) but you cannot use Tom Cruize etc.

Known logos is not allowed. But I've seen things of this sort:

So, no blatant copying ...but I guess if you modify things ... you should be ok. But the idea is that you cannot take "GAP" logo, paste on t-shirts and sell them, because GAP company doesn't want you to make money from their brand.
