Dear All,

As Limez requested, I recently deployed an aggressive anti-dos module for forumforfree.com server.
This module must help us in reduce load and crack down spams and attacks.
But I want to be sure that it does not block normal users (i.e. you) also.

Please help to check and feed back!
Your help in reporting will be appreciated

Is this implemented on all the FFF IPB forums as of now?
My forum does seem to be working a lot smoother the past 12 hours or so.

The technology is implemented on Apache level of forumforfree.com, regardless of what kind of forum there

Please keep update me about the status!

Still getting smooth operation and decent speed so far today on my FFF IPB forum, a big improvenent over the past week. I hope it stays good steady performance now.

I have had great speed on my FFF IPB forum the last couple days, howver unfotunately I note today its back to extremely slow operation taking minutes in most cases for a page to come up or to do any action like refresh a page or post. Seems to be getting worse this afternoon particularly. Has something else changed today?

Yes, I also nocticed this. The server was attacked again. After 2 hours or more it was running normally again. Please check.

I can confirm the last few hours the forum seems to be back at normal speed.
So even with the new module, attacks are still causing slowdowns at some times? Or is it being fine tuned to futher prevent them like the one earlier today?

I guess we can not 100% block this kind of attack. As some experts said, the only thing we can do when DDOS is turn off the server and wait

The FFF server seems to be bogged down again for the past 2 hours so far. Takes an extremely long time to get my FFF IPB page to load if it comes up at all.

Yeah, we're having a lot of spams on server .... I'll try to do something with this.

My FFF IPB forum suddenly is not responding a this hour.
