The server speed has been good for the past two days that I've seen, thanks.
I never have allowed guest posting on my forum, also use admin validation for new registrations and haven't ever had any spam posting.

Yes, but there were many forums with guest posting allowed. Seems that people registered the forum, used for some short times, allowed guest posting and didn't look at their forums anymore. This was a big performance problem for us.

Please keep the guest posting disabled for the server to see if that stops the slowdowns consistently.

Forum speed remained good all of last night and so far today from what I've observed.

There are still some admin control panel features not functional since the server changes sometime back however. One particular one is very important, the Email Set-up under System Settings. Without it the forum's email for new registration validation and other alerts can't be setup correctly or the main forum email change performed. Can this control panel function please be restored?

Some other control panel settings that are also still non functional include News Set-up, COPPA Set-up. It would be good to have those restored as well.

Oh, I guess this is a question for Limez. Currently I don't take the forum operation related part yet. We'll wait for Limez to look at this then.

OK I'll bump up the thread I originally reported the non-functional admin control panel features after the server upgrade months ago. I hope this can finally be addressed now.

Any possibilty of this feature being implemented on Forumer's servers?

This was implemented on most of Forumers' servers. But it was to antidos only, on server 8 (your) we got another problem: spam ...

P.S: SPAM is the Admin's problem.
Forumer is not responsible for it.

Indeed, but the spam sometimes makes the servers slow, making the users experience worst, which Forumer does not want.

And too many spammers online can cause the server to shut down like a DOS attack.

You know, Forumer is also responsible for it. Because a lot of people created forums and left, so virtually there're no admins for such forums. So spammers will register and spam untill the entire server went down.
