Members register, receive the validation email, and click on the link, yet they never become members and stay in validating "limbo." Some have repeatedly requested new validation emails, and the same thing happens with each email---nothing.

I would change the board to admin validation, but I cannot locate it in the ACP menu. I can't find a link to any of the global settings (like flood control, etc.)

While I hate replying to myself, I couldn't help noticing the front page of Forumer congratulating itself on its fourth birthday.

"Not a baby anymore."

Then please do the adult thing and at least respond when members ask for assistance.

BTW, I also mentioned this was a problem back in July. I guess the blanket "This has been fixed" didn't include all the problems I noted in my request for assistance.

AdminCP -> System Settings -> Security & Privacy -> in the Security (Troublesome Users) section you'll find the New registration email validation? question, chose the option you want and click on Submit changes.

The flood control is in the same section..... just fill in the seconds you want to set it to and click on submit changes.


Hope it helps for now, we will look into the e-mail validation problem.
