| Member | I am considering starting an own forum and look for a reliable host currently. A friend of mine recommended me forumer.com as he has been using it for a while and is satisfied with the service. I was just wondering: does forumer.com make backups of all forums hosted, or is there a way for the forum webmaster to make back-ups himself? |

| Member | So forumer.com makes regular back-ups themselves? If the forum would ever be hacked or experience technical problems, the last back-up is used to restore the specific forum? |

| phpBB Support Meister ![]() ![]() | Yes, Forumer makes regular backups and if something gos wrong the most recent backup gets applied server wide to the server affected. |

| Junior Forumer ![]() | The rules for backups for the forumforfree forums (which is what this section is about) is different from the regular forumer forums I believe. There could be some confusion in this regard. They make regular server backups. There used to be a way to order your own copy of your specific forum's database backup but I don't think that is offered anymore for the forumforfree forums (this section's focus) - not sure about the regular forumer type forums though that the other sections of the support forum cover. Perhaps a support member could post the latest backup strategies and any policies regarding availability of individual forum database backups for the forumforfree.com forums? | Junior Forumer ![]() | Apparently, no back-ups are available to individual forum admins on FFF, phpBB or IPB, as they require FTP access, but as stated, regular back-ups are made by Forumer. |

| Member | Well it is a relief to know that if there was a problem the forum's and the posts made would not be lost. That happened to one of the forums I was a member of, (not a forumer one I hasten to add!!) and every post that had been made was lost. We had to start all over again. It was very discouraging.
