Default Regarding FFF p1, p2, p3, p4 (maintenance notice)

Hi,

Over the next couple of days, we will be undergoing more work on these servers mentioned. Over the past couple of months, there have been some problems regarding slowness, 404 errors and unable to connect messages. The coders are in the process of finding the core of the problem so we can go ahead and fix this permanently.

We are also going to upgrade to the latest version of phpBB for you all as soon as that software is stable. Other changes will include some security updates and server upgrades.

We are hoping that these changes will bring a permanent solution to these problems everyone is having.

We ask that you remain patient with us. These changes may cause server down time.

Best regards,
Forumer team

The following bugs have been fixed:

IPB:
  • Fixed Administration Control Panel (ACP) log in and general use of ACP redirecting to Forumer's 404 error page. We ask that you clear your browsers' cookies and cache, however
  • Fixed the ability to upload avatars via user CP
  • Fixed some issues regrading unable to connect and other error messages
  • Fixed some of the speed issues and applied some security updates

phpBB
  • Most old avatars brought back (whatever was possible)
  • Fixed some speed issues (still in the process)
  • Fixed some problems regarding error messages, such as "unable to connect"

We are in the process of fixing a few other things such as the ban settings problem on IPB, and working on topic reply notification e-mails.

We have now added pre-installed skins to the IPB boards. Simply go to Skins and Templates in your ACP, and click on "Import Skin files", click on the skin you want, and click "Import". After you have done that, it'll take you to the manage the skin sets, find the skin set you just chosen, click on edit, and make that the default skin if you wish

If you want to allow your users to choose which skin that want, you can import all the skin files if you desire.
