it's been escalated NOW!? And what specifically is the problem? What is it that keeps causing the boards to go down?

If I know that I wouldn't have to submit the bug report.

When the forums were taken over by forumer they had main errors. I can only assume that there is still work to be done. Our administrator is looking in to it.

Why does andyfair's FFF forum on "s3" still work but the rest of ours don't?

And just to mention that that forum is only accessible, you still haven't solved his problem either.

I'm guessing the problem is isolated to server 1, which is what our forums are on, and the 's3' means andyfair's forum is on server 3.

That seems to be the only server thats up. The p4 server is not up either and you can't access the FFF homepage.

Thanks for choosing Forumer!

This still does not solve our problem how long is a timely manner surely it must be 5 hrs not nearly coming up for 72 hours I would change boards but I cant even get onto the site to get my members names to send them an e-mail what is happening.

Even my other admin is asking what is happening she manged to get me by msn messenger and the group we are running the forum for has even started asking on another forum what is happening.

When I signed up for this forumforfree I was assured that it would be available 24/7 since you have taken it over which I was told again was a good forum, you have not posted anything that we can tell our members that it is not going to happen again.

Please someone post something and make it a sticky so that we all know what is going on.

All I know, is that FFF experienced severe server problems. We have to be patient, if we want every problem fixed. If they were in fact hacked about a month ago, then there are even deeper problems, some which many would have given up on. Please, be patient with the nic people here. They are trying....

Well, were they hacked about a month ago or not? I didn't know anything about this and, frankly, I still don't - other than that it has been mentioned as something that "might" have happened.

Swartz, I am sure the "nic" people here are trying but it would help considerably if we could get a little more information than has been given. As Roxanneslover said, admin can't even get onto the site to get people's emails to contact them. That is a big problem. We were a small, friendly, tightknit community but obviously people are going to start drifting away if nobody can let them know what is going on. That would be a great shame and I feel we are letting our members down.

Still can't get onto our site so can't email members to let them know what is going on. Not, of course, that I really know what is going on... I wish someone could give us some kind of timescale related to all this.

Its the not knowing that is upsetting like how much longer is the forum going to be down for, had one moderator give an answer but still none the wiser and since then nothing.

We will update you when we get information ourselves. At the moment all we know is that an unknown problem is effecting some of the forumforfree forums. Once the problem is discovered we will inform you.

Please don't suggest we are lying. The server WAS was hacked and forumer took on the job of recovering as much data as it could.

Please post the URL's of the forumforfree forums that are not accessable.

Nick, very sorry. Did not intend to suggest for one moment that you were lying. I was really responding to something someone else (Swartz) said. 'Umble apologies!

Our forum - http://p2.forumforfree.com/weaversreunited.html - is up and running at the moment. Must have come back within the last hour and a half. Thanks for that.
