I know I haven't been on here in a while but I really think these would improve these forums.

1. Be Consistent - Every time I come back here there's something new. The forums are arranged differently, there's a different color scheme, or something. Some people (me included) really like the familiarity of the same old look. If you're going to change, give users the option to stay with the old look.

2. Act Profesionally - Not really much to say here, but I just get don't get that professional "feeling" as I do with say, DigitalPoint or NamePros.

3. Change Your Limits - If a new member with no posts can use the fSwapMeet, then they should be able to use the PM feature. I think it would be important to limit the fSwapMeet to members who can send/recieve PMs.

4. Info Box - That little (well, BIG) black box at the bottom with your information and copyright is ugly, large, and unnecessary. I think the copyright by itself would look kind of cool in the box by itself though.

That was just bothering me. I really think you should start applying #1 now. I also think if you could appeal to a wider group of people, it would be a better forum than having mainly teenage members.

ok, some good suggestions here .......... to number 1, if you chose the "All" tabs you'll get the good old familiar look, the only difference will be the tabs on the top of the forums...

no 2.. I don't visit any of the mentioned forums so I can't compare.......

no 3...... It is not a bad idea, I will suggest that for discussion on the next meeting and see what happens

no 4.... well many people have said that, but ultimately it's up to Limez....... I will forward him your opinion though

With #1 I was referring to the skin, the tabs, and the fSwapMeet layout changing, in addition to introducing blogs and the fChat. That's a lot of fairly recent change for a well-established forum.

well the addition of the fChat and Blogs doesn't affect the look of the forum and only ads to the features......... the other three things you mentioned (the skin, the tabs, and the fSwapMeet layout changing)....... I can see where you're coming from...

from observations Digitalpoint moderators are about as stupid as they come. guthix and I were both banned from there for basically double posting in our thread, I would understand maybe a warning or a useless infraction but a ban. I also noticed theres members there with like 5000 posts being banned for no reason and a smart administration would not ban their better members for no reason at all. Honestly other than the fact that its easy to sell stuff on DP the forums and its staff are a joke.

I wish to protest this statement. Nearly all of the Forumer staff are over 16!

Ok, kidding aside I do have a point to make, especially in one of affirmation to wierdo's comments. I was surprised on a recent visit to see the new tabs for the forum - apparently the newest bit of shiny that could be added - and quite frankly, it appalled me. Like you, wierdo, I am a fan of the '06 arragement of the forum, it was simple, easy to use and quite eyepleasing; afterall, this is a company support forum whose sole job is to offer answers to problems on Forumer forums.

That is it, folks, the sole reason for this forum to exist. It isn't to provide the litany of clutter and entertainment(the so-called "community" pushed by Limez) that has sprung up like weed seeds in rich soil.

Tell me, moderators, where are the majority of posts in this forum...what topics take up the greatest space in this forum? What is the first thing a visitor or needy customer sees in our "new tabs"?

Answer me that and you will have your answer as to the failure of Forumer's Support Forum.
