If you look at the attached image below u'll see a note on the security code confirmation stage that says "Only numbers are allowed" yet, the image that shows has letters too and if you only input the numbers it says "wrong security code"...

Maybe this should be fixed, I mean, the "only numbers are allowed" part should be scrapped.

Yeah, by default IPB shows only numbers. Forumer's security includes the letters.

I think that is purposely done to throw too the spam bots.

But wouldn't that throw potential new members away as well? I mean, when a person constantly inputs only numbers, because the note says so and gets "wrong code" all the time... it's confusing.

I think you are not getting my point, I'm not saying that people are stupid not to know what is numbers and what is letters, I'm saying that the note specifically says "only numbers are allowed" that can be confusing, should a member disregard the letters from the code and insert only the numbers? I think this note should be removed.

I see your point......... but it's also said there that enter 6 digit code as shown on image.......... if you disregard the letters you don't have 6 digits....

Unfortunately, that's not what the note says... that's why I thought the note is confusing and... wrong.

It's always very weird to me to see someone being just plain rude for no reason. Or maybe you have your reasons
