Default Merge Threads in phpBB forums
Since this was not an option in attitude's poll, I thought it would be better to post this here.
We should be able to merge topics in phpBB. There is a modification for this at either phpbb.com or phpbbhacks.com

I don't think it would be a bad mod at all, but things like Cash Mod and Subforums on phpBB would be much better IMO. It seems with what users have mentioned in the past, this is the general consensus.

i was trying to merge topics earlier on my Phpbb forum and didnt find the option to. I was kinda mad cause of it. now i have 2 topics with diffrent names that people are posting in.

I think it's a fair point, fairly easy mod to install, no security problems, and sometimes and admin just needs it.

I personally love the merge thread. In some forums with off topic, "fun" threads they inevitable sort of run down the same path and it is always nice to be able to merge the two. When I had ************ it was one of my favorite features.

I realize it isn't a priority, but I wouldn't think it would be that difficult to add.

I would like to be able to merge threads too, often posters don't read beyond four posts or so and there can be more than one thread on a topic.

We're upgrading to phpBB 3 soon I can safely tell you that I've used to software, and you can merge threads with phpBB 3.
