Red face Closing new forum registrations on old servers.

This would be nice. The servers are overloaded. Let's face it. I'm not whining, and before you tell me "this is a free service, feel free to leave for another" just check this:

Today, 8 am, 2 hours offline

Comes back at 10, slow as a snail, then:

11 am, offline again, an hour and a half.

Back at 12:40, very very slow with MySQL errors, then 3 hours later:

4 pm., down and still down.

5 pm, still down

Yes, this is a free service but it shouldn't be like that, isn't the purpose of a forum host to... umm.. host forums and keep them operational?

It's easy to say pack ur bags and leave? Leave what? All registered members behind? All the topics and posts, all they dedication and efforts to build our communities which are now falling apart...

The servers are overloaded guys, and until new servers are deployed the situation is gonna get worse and worse.

and it isnt just server 3 (which seems to be the worst) the whole forumer place seems to be going down the gurgler

Well Server 7 has only een off once since I've been here...I'm not complaining.

But, if my server was off a lot, I would be complaining.

I think its fine with me that the sever is having problems because its free and if I wanted something that wouldn't go offline then I would pay for it.

While I'll agree with you that the server problems are getting out of hand, I will say that complaining about it is not going to fix the problem. We've gotten our answers from the staff, Limez is on vacation and there's nothing we can do but wait.

Hey Come On The Servers Are Only Offline Very Unregulary So I Think Its Good That You Care About Your Members But If They Liked Your Forum So Much They Wouldent Mind If It Was Off Sometimes.

Which server are you on mate?

Yesterday server 3 was offline for 5 hours. I am only awake 12 hours a day. This means that I was unable to access my forums for most of the day (I'm not online all day after all). During the times when it was loading I was unable to enter Admin CP due constant MySQL errors and timeouts.

I don't know how bad the situation is with the other servers but seems 3's uptime is like 40% or something and it has been so for over a month now. No fix yet.

That is where is is everyday. I can't remember a time I logged on when Limez was available.

The reason why staff keeps saying Limez is on vacation is because....he is on vacation. Limez is not always online because he is not a kid with a hobby, but an actual businessman, I assume he has a job besides Forumer, and a life, so just give him some slack.

And the reality is, this is a free service, the only money Forumer gets is the ad money from Google, that is what keeps the servers running. If you don't like this free service you can feel free to go to another free service, or if you want go to a paying one. But the bottom line is this: Forumer is free, you are paying absolutly nothing to use their servers, so don't complain.

This doesn't fly. If we didn't select their service for our forums, then what ad money would they bring in? I am sick of people saying this. It simply doesn't wash. Come up with a new mantra.

This is a totally useless comment, it's like saying, yeah, the service sux but it doesn't cuz it's free. It either sux or doesn't, being free has nothing to do with it. It's an offer forumer makes. They tell you "we host your forum for free and we get adsense revenue". It's simple. Facts are: 1) forums are supposed to be online, that's what forumer is supposed to offer. 2) My forum has been down most of yesterday and all morning today. And it's still offline.

Yeah, seems FFF is doing pretty bad lately too. Sorry for that. I hope Limez gets back soon, when he's around the forums operate normally, I dunno what he does but he always manages to make those servers run smoothly.

It is good to know that Limez is a real person, though.

If you're so SICK of hearing about, go else where. I'm sick of your behavior around here, and I do NOT give a flying rats ass if your server is working fine, isn't working, if Limez is here, not here / whatever.

Do you not think that we have NOT tried to contact Limez about 100 times now?
