is it possible to have mass email enabled on my forum, it is necessary for reminding members of up coming events!

The bulk email feature was disabled due to abuse, so it doesn't look like we are going to allow it at this point in time.

So sad, bulk email would be very useful feature when used properly. Please tell me, what can I do to give people some useful information of upcoming events?

Can't you make any restrictions to bulk emails? For example: admin can send only one e-mail per month? Or something?

As far as i know they were about 1 a week before they got abused.

Anyway, its not up to me its up to Limez and i can almost guarantee you that its a no.

There are many Americans who want George Bush out but they cant do anything now.

Just because many people want something doesn't mean its gonna happen, Limez owns Forumer his choice is nothing to do with your opinion.

okay honestly if mass email were disabled because admin were either careless or spamming their members then obviously punish those users instead of the rest of us

the admin who want mass email want it for a good purpose to benefit their forum if they abuse that power then obviosuly disable that users forum privelages

mass emails are important because first to give out important events and newsletter, etc

and why does ipb have this same feature then shouldnt they have not have mass email because of the same reason


but i do know disabling email permission of an admin would be disabling all of the rest since its in the mysl database in all

just my 2 cents

I have never questioned Limez ownership and authority over the Forumer.
My kind wish is that Limez and Forumer are not comparable to Bush and US.
It was you that compared Bush and Limez, not me...

Why punish everyone for an idiots mistake? Why not only penalize people who abused it? I registered mine after it had been disabled, and I still have to deal with the people who abused it.

Because there is many stupid ones out there, and they can't just nip-pick - that would waste so much time. In stead they wanted it disabled compleatly - easier that way.
