Default Banner ads: source and ethics?
Hey folks. Not sure if this is the place for this or not. Feel free to say "hey, dummy, post over There -->" if I'm in the wrong place.

Anyway, I just started a board that's primarily aimed at being a community for my World of Warcraft guild. And the first banner ad I noticed in my site is for a gold-selling company.

For the record, gold-selling is against the WoW terms of service, and considered by many to be a pretty low thing. I don't really want my guild associated with that practice. Besides paying to get rid of the banner ads, is there any way we can just ask that particular ads not get shown on our forum?

go to the support forums but limez cant do much as these scripts are automated they use keywords found in the posts titles etc...

limez can't block certain ads for individual accounts.

Most people know what google ads are and how they work, nobody will care what they have on them.

does the ad happen to be for WoWMine?

I get that alot on gmail, mainly because my inbox contains something about WOW. lol...

just click on the feedback link under the ad and report it...it does not hurt to say ts illegal or its a scam...

Good idea, although that feedback link doesn't show up in my board (eyesofazeroth.16.forumer.com), which might be a skin problem, I dunno.

it is very much visible...
you see a link, underlined text saying Ads by Gooooooogle...
click on thant and there ya go feed back...

Look at that. You're right. Earlier yesterday, there was a Honda Civic ad that didn't have that link in it. But today there's the offending Brogames ad again, and I wrote google some feedback. Thanks.

just report the site to google and they will take care of it...
@maneel, chaning the catagory wont help...
