My prediction:

Board wrappers, bumping up the smilies size limit, different skins, custom fields etc etc etc are available on a few other free forum hosting services but it appears that they will never be implemented by Forumer regardless how much we ask, beg or whatever. What we have now is about it for this software even though it wouldn't be a great deal of work just activating some of them.

Although we may all be dead by the time phpBB 3.0 goes online (don't hold your breath) maybe it will have some of these features (or maybe it won't).

Here you go:

Yes that is true but when you think about it, one day of setting it up is nothing to all the reading of threads asking were to put mods in when there meant to go in the board wrappers

Now it might seem that I am really bitching about the lack of features at Forumer but I would perfer to stay with Forumer since and in spite of the troubles with server 4, I believe the support is generally better.

With a few small tweaks of the software many of these mods would be unnecessary and would make a big difference in the usefulness and would allow a better forum experience for forum users if Forumer would just activate these features.

Since many smaller and lesser supported free forum hosting sites, who I would guest also have less capacity, allow these features it could not be that Forumer deactivates these features because of server load.

So I am asking, while Forumer is upgrading server 4 and making other changes to improve their free service to all of us that appreciate Forumer support and their free hosting service, why not activate these features and make the "Forumer experience" more productive and enjoyable. I'm sure that many others, besides myself, would be very appreciative.

Still think these would be nice...

I honestly think that it is nice of other hosts to SPAM our suggestions board. However, Forumer will activate features that are useful, important and do not muck up the admin cp like some other hosts do. Forumer is better than making a mess of their software, as well as causing uneccesarry risks to the server. We are a great host with great features. If you do not like it, do not let the door hit your butt on the way out.

I don't know who the "other hosts" are since I don't believe anyone has posted any links to these fathom hosts.

Features, such as the ones that I have suggested, should not "muck up" the admin cp as these features are built into the current version of the forum software that Forumer uses (unlike the "muck" that has to be done to get some of these same features by addings unnecessary mods).

Very little risks, if any at all, would be incurred by Forumer by implementing the features that are part of the IPB software that I have suggested.

I can't think of any users of Forumer that has berated the service but this is the "Forumer Suggestions" section is it not ?

Finally it isn't that Forumer is not doing an admirable job it's, if Forumer would just activate just a few more of the features that are already part of the software that Forumer uses it would make Forumer a lot better.

Is it not Forumer's own wishes that it become a better service by allowing users to post possible improvements to it's service or is the "Forumer Suggestions" section of this board just a useless joke created by Forumer's to satistfy someone's sick humor?

This comment, "If you do not like it, do not let the door hit your butt on the way out." was completely uncalled for unless the "Forumer Suggestions" section is indeed a meaningless section of this board.

Profilers will be available on IPB 2.2. You can have friends and comments. I am going to by the IPB lifetime liscense for $185. My whole forum (109 members and over 7200 posts) will have to copy and paste each post to our new forum, since forumer wierdly provides no convertor system.

I think one simple thing that I have seen on most forums that isn't on FOrumer boards is "Checkbox Polls" which allow voters to choose multiple options to vote for on a poll. It is very useful and seems simple enough to put together, I can't imagine it is much more than I minor modification.

Any chance of this?

I know Limez is busy, but a suggestion that is attracting this much attention really needs to be addressed.

I think a money code (with bank, shop, lottery + more), forum backups and more mods would be nice.
