You can delete them anyway under the current system mrgame. If you enclosed them within a <% BOARD %> tag, it'd be much more difficult for someone to remove them (rather than just <% ADS %>), and the wrappers would provide A LOT more functionality on the board.

Yes, but i wouldn't post with that info because if you remove the ads that way then your forum could be deleted.

Of course, I had no intention of posting how to do it. I'm just saying if that's the main reason for not adding board wrappers, it shouldn't be, and there are ways to add the plugin "safely" :/

I think there is a modification over at fmods for the custom profiles. I am not sure if it is back in development again...

Yea, I had asked there, what they said was that is a new mod that is in development but from what I gathered, noone's working on it..

And anyway, please do try to bring us these great features.. Other free hosts provide these.....

hey what is board wrapers ?? i heard of the other MOD, but i never heard of board wrapers. what is it for ? anyway custom profile is good. and why dont forumer add the attachment mod ?? phpbb3 is too long to wait.

Board Wrappers allow admins to add customized content before the layout of the board is loaded, during the load inbetween the submenu and the main board area, and after between the stats box and the copyright. They allow you a lot more flexibility over what you see, and you can manipulate nearly every aspect of the board from there.

Yeah, any news on this as these board wrappers would give yet another advantage for forumer over other free forum hosts. It would let in alot more skinners aswell, IF has a dedicated skin zone with hundreds of skins, compare this to forumer and IF looks more customizable.

(I prefer forumer still though

Enabling them means running the risk of having half of Forumer's boards run without recognition. Other hosting services have found work-arounds to this, but obviously one isn't available fo Forumer.

Two. Increasing the maximum emoticon size would in fact cause a huge amount more bandwodth usage. Mardprobe, the emoticon you pointed out is about 40kb - imagine 40kb loaded up about 100,000 times per month. That's 4,000,000kb - or 4GB of extra bandwidth required per server per month. That's just for one 40kb emoticon.

Three. About a year ago I did find a way to access and use the custom profile field page, but after notifying Limez of the vunerability (I was on staff at the time.. XD) it was fixed. Having pages open that Limez doesn't know users are accessing could be disasterous. I don't know exactly why they can't be enabled, though - disabling them does save a bunch of mySQL tables per month, though, again a bandwidth thing.

Well I didn't like the emotion idea, large emotions are ugly anyway I think.
Although it'd be nice for forumer to work around the board wrappers problem, as not only would it allow alot of skins from other forum host skin zones (not to name anyone), but it would also allow the skinners in, and I'm sure some would be more than happy to work on FMods to provide skins.

If it isn't avaliable in anyway to Forumer, well I'll just deal with and carry on.
