How about a way to moderate individual users to a forum? I guess I'm thinking of it along the lines of some of the email lists I've been on. A person joins or an established user starts causing problems of one type or another. I think there should be a way for the Administrator of a board to moderate a user. Such that the user makes a post but rather than it posting right away to the board's 'public', the Admin receives an email or even a private message saying that such and such a user has tried to post the following: Yada yada yada. Then something like "This user's posts require Administrator (or Moderator) approval before they will appear on the board. Please review the pending post and grant approval or rejection for posting."
I just think this could eliminate some of the problems that users can stir up when they post before they think and avoid some of the flame wars that can erupt on boards.
Anyway, thanks for letting me post this. Anyone else think this is a good idea? Can anyone think of a way to have it incorporated into phpBB?
