Footer Options, community can suggest 3 more

A dark/navy blue would be nice, like Wild Cat's first one, a dark red one too, I think the red is too damn red, and the green, a darker green would be better as that neon green there is too bright that I can't even read the writing on it...

Will there be an option to keep the original footer? I like the original footer better than any of the ragged looking ones posted here (by ragged I mean the top). If they weren't all jagged, I would prefer #2. To me, the jagged top makes something that would look a lot better than the original skin look like just another something from a free host.

I guess i'll be paying for the removal anyway and other things as soon as i migrate from my other forum in a few months, However my board is only like 50% width is there anyway you guys could come up with a size thats half the size for people with smaller sizes of forums so it looks proportionate to my width

You've got to be kidding me. Forumer always has to go with something that looks horrible, then they choose something that makes it look worse as an "improvement".

Mainly the ragged tops, although why can't forum owners just put in the hexadecimal code they want, then have the footer automatically generated with a PHP script? I don't think that would be that hard to code, and it would give us an infinite number of color choices.

Or, you could stop complaining and accept what is part of a free service. If you really wanted to invest to pay for the work to make your suggestion, you could instead invest in removing the footer. Most users will ignore the footer, anyway, especially if you use the all black/all white one mentioned above, and because it's at the BOTTOM of the page. Why should you be so concerned about the color, anyway? The goal isn't to have a perfectly visually pleasing website - it's to gather a community and interact with the rest of the world. If the color of a footer is preventing you from doing so, so help me, there is nothing I or anyone else can do for you.

I, personally, love the jagged edge, and so does everyone else on my forum. The color choices are great and numerous enough so that you can find one that mostly matches your forum. #3 and #8 match perfectly with ours.

EDIT: I looked, and the all black and white ones don't even have jagged edges. Surely ONE of those will fit your forum.

I've been a Forumer user for years now, and haven't complained much about stuff that I really didn't agree with. So I don't need a lecture.

Invest in Forumer? Investing involves the possibility of profit, and even if I did remove the footer and the ads, I couldn't add my ads to my forum. So... no possibility of profit.

Do you guys have any idea when this feature will become available for everyone? Either the new footers or the option to pay for the current one to be removed. Sorry to pester but I've been tweaking the forums lately and would like to finish it up.

I fail to see how giving people more options is not an improvement...

You will not be able to keep what you got now because the new footer has some additional links and features added, like the piggy bank, where members can purchase fbucks, and the amount will be going to the ACP of the forum. This way their members if they chose so got the choice to contribute (other than sending money to the admin's paypal as some of the admins have not got paypal accounts)

As you can see, the black option is not much different from the one you have now...

PS:The last one is only the text, no gray square will be visible on the forum, it is just the screen shot from the ACP where the bg is gray

Well it is ready to be released, now all it needs is to be implemented on all of the servers, so it shouldn't be that long.
I would guess that it probably will be done in the next few weeks.
