New forum ads, request to your forum to get the "ads by google"

i understand you need to make a buck but these new ads are ridiculous and some are so close to pronographic that it is ridiculous. You dont find this on other sites.

Well as I have said in my previous post.... those inappropriate ads were reported to the advertising company and should not appear on the forums anymore.

Do you still get them now?
I have been browsing your forum for a while now and I did not get them to show.

Not sure if Forumer is aware, but several of these ads are depositing cookies and spyware as our forum pages load. I discovered this by setting my browser to ask me before accepting cookies.

The cookies is normal, 99% if not all sites will store cookies, even your forum does it. As for the spyware, can you provide visible proof, and what is the name of the spyware?

Yes, cookies are normal, however these are new. They started showing up only since the new ads started. They tend to come from sites that have "ad" in the name, and show up just before the ad loads on the page. It happens for only some of the ads, and occurs when going from one page to the next if a new ad is appearing.

The spyware was an issue a few weeks ago. It coincided with the ads, and impacted members at the same time. My members promptly cleaned up their computers, so I no longer have that info.

Did they by chance click on those pr0n ads? Zango is known for installing spyware. I didn't know they did it through ad banners, though.
