I am a member in a forum and we have a serious problem. the forum admin claims that she can check our pms , she can read them cause she is a root admin. i really dont know if this is possible. could you help me please?

Yes it is possible by many different ways. They can read it in the database, have a mod that forward all messages to them or simply can login as you and read them. If it is a IPB Forumer forum then it is possible as they is a mod at Fmods that allows that.
