I just started a forum here through forumer.com and would like to use it attached to our website... what is this talk of domain names and purchasing domains? Like I said, I am all new to this.... Sorry!!!

So we could buy a name for our forum other than the one provided? If so what is the deal with changing and IP address?

yes, you cna purchase a .com for your site here. the only 'change' is that instead of going to xxx.2.forumer.com it would go to xxx.com. and also, all of your posts and stuff stays the same, even the look of the site, so don't worry
