Hello,

My husband and I run a friendly WoW guild on the Wildhammer server. There are about 30ppl, we have a lot of fun and help each other. We need a banner for our website. The problem we’re having is that all the templates and pics seem to be more hardcore and darker themed. We want something light and fun and welcoming. Can anyone please help us?

Type of Image: Banner

Text on The Image : Coniunctis Viribus (large text) and With United Powers (centered below CV in smaller font)

Font for the text: Maybe: Romance Fatal Serif from: http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=502. Something basic - we’re not picky.

Images on The Image: Again, not too picky. We just want something light. Ideally it would be a few horde toons sitting around a campfire or waving or something fun like that. But I haven’t been able to find anything like that. If you could find something like that, we’d be ecstatic.

If you can’t find anything better, maybe something like this image: http://www.mmobox.co.uk/wp-content/u...raft_guild.jpg on top of this one: http://bestgamewallpapers.com/files/.../discovery.jpg. Just something that emphasizes teamwork and fun.

Image Colour Scheme : Our site is blue and an off-white. It is cvwild.guildportal.com

Image Size: 1024 x 280? I linked a website below that I like a lot and those are their banner’s dimensions. If you’d like to take a look at our site (URL above) and see if that size banner would fit, that’d be good.

Image Animations: No animations necessary unless you’re able to put in horde sitting around a fire and can make it sparkle or something. No biggie.

Image Side Notes: I’m a big fan of this banner and website: http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.asp...&TabID=1797751. It’s got a light, welcoming, etc. feel.

We’re really not picky. We just want a banner to make our site a little more unique and inviting. The most important thing is that it be fun and light-hearted. Thanks so much! I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

So I had a go at this. Because you said "Light" I think I kind of ran on a little too much "happy", a campfire in daylight... well, lol. This is what I came up with. The proportions of the fire to the characters might be off.. I don't look too closely at the proportions when I'm playing WOW so I didn't really have a clue. If you want ANYTHING changed or something added please let me know and I'll fix it up. I wasn't too sure as to what size the banner should have been so I made it the size you requested. If need be I can rework it and make it a different size, no biggy. I saved 2 copies, one a Gif and one a jpeg, just in case you don't like the quality of the one with the animated fire. I apologize it's not the best, lol.

Hello. I'm glad you're happy with the banner. You see, at first, I actually did have the orc on the other side of the fire, but what happened was with the animated fire, I had to erase his legs so it looked like he was behind it, and when the fire was moving you could see his legs were missing, lol. I could try again though, because I did think it would look better with the orc on the other side. I'll try again to see what I can do.

So I had a go, it doesn't look as bad as it did the first time I tried it, but part of the legs kind of bug me, lol. I added a bit of a shadow on the characters as well to add a bit of something.

Oh yeah, I think this looks better. Thanks so much for your help! I wish I had the skills to do this kind of thing on my own. Thank goodness for nice people like you who are willing to help ignormus like me!
