The Rules of our Forum

Welcome to Forumer.com Support Forums!

In this forum, you may ask questions about issues you are experiencing with your genuine Forumer.com board. We will generally reply to your question within 24 hours, however, it may take longer depending on the time that the Support Staff is online and the issue of your request.

When you post a reply in our forums, please keep a few general rules in mind. Your thread may be locked at any given time, and you, as a member, may be warned for specific violations of these rules.

Please take note of the following rules below:

1] SPAM AND ADVERTISING

1.1 Advertising or posting links to products offered by our competitors is not allowed. You will be banned for this. This includes promoting other brands of forum software and other forum related software. This forum was created to discuss products and services of Forumer.com, and not other companies.

1.2 We do not tolerate spam at Forumer.com. In short, do not post small or useless posts that are not relevant to Forumer.com in the Support sections.

1.3 Do not send PM to other users promoting your forum or any other site or product.

2] OFFENSIVE POSTS

2.1 Do not post offensive, abusive, obscene, hateful, discriminating or harmful posts

2.2 Follow basic netiquette rules. For example, DO NOT ever type in ALL CAPS. This applies to both topic titles and the post messages, as this is considered yelling.

3] HOW TO POST

3.1 Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read.
Here is an example of proper support request:
example 1: Server12: How do I change the logo of my forum?
example 2: Server5: What is the maximum size of my banner?

3.2 Do not PM any staff member unless you are told to do so by another staff member.
3.3 Keep the focus. Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

3.4 Please post in the correct forum. Your post will be deleted if it is in the inappropriate forum

3.5 DO NOT bump your topics

3.6 Be sure to include a link to your forum.

3.7 Please keep your signatures as small as possible; No signature can be ANY larger than 400pixels by 80pixels. The text in the signatures MAY NOT be larger than size 3. (read all sig guidelines here)

4] RESPECT THE AUTHORITY OF moderators/admins
4.1 Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

5] REPORTING ABUSE

5.1 If you have a complaint about another member, problems with other members, etc. please try to resolve by PMing, if necessary, address Forumer Support Staff
5.2 If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to one of Forumer Support Staff members. Repeat offenders will be banned from the forum, and further action may be taken against them.

If you happen to violate any of the Forumer.com rules, the following punishments against you may be undertaken:
-Edit or removal of post
-Edit of signature or avatar if in violation of rules
-Increase of the Warning Level
-All posts will require moderator approval
-Removal of offender's posting rights
-Suspension of the offender's user account
-Ban/Deletion of the offender's user account
-Deletion of your forum(s)
-Reporting to law enforcement
-Other punishments felt necessary by the Forumer.com Support Staff or the Admins.

Remember: We may alter these rules at any time, without notice. So we recommend that you come back to it and read, to make sure you are aware of all the rules.

Contacting Support
----------------------------------------------------------------

Forumer tends to get quite a fair amount of users coming to the Support Boards for help, you've made a right choice, and we ask that you keep all support questions within the Support Boards. Please keep the following in mind when posting in the support board:

1. Before even creating any topics we ask that all users use the Search function to search for their answers. If your answer cannot be found while searching then it's highly suggested that you read over the Knowledgebase as most common questions can be answered there.

2. All users must understand that the members of the Support Team and the rest of the rest are doing this on a voluntary basis, no one is getting paid for this. We don't want to see any users demanding anything from the Support Team. The Forumer Support Team's intention is to get to every single topic in time, so please be patient with us.

2a. In relation to rule 2, I'd like to point out a couple of quick rules, please make sure you wait a minimum of 48 hours before bumping any topics. DO NOT create more then one topic one the same issue, and please make sure that your post is as detailed as possible, giving details is the key to getting an answer to your question, users whom which do not give details tend to end up confusing people which leads to a big ruckus. Also, before posting please try your best to clear up your problem on your own. To speed up the resolution of your problem, if you can, create a screenshot of your problem and attach it with your thread.

3. All Non-Forumer related questions should NOT be posted in our Support Boards, you must understand that these are the Forumer Support Boards and we don't support anything else. If you'd like to ask a question about a Non-Forumer related topic then please ask in General Chat.

4. Please DO NOT contact any member of the Support Team or the rest of the staff for that matter with support questions via PM or any other Instant Messenger client (msn, yim, ICQ, etc)

You may think that the above rules are strict / harsh but this is the way it's got to be. I'd also like to point out that all users who follow the support guidelines will be given the best support possible, as opposed to users who don't will be given little to none support.

Thank you for reading the rules.

Sincerely,
~ Forumer Staff
