| Re: Does IPB has rss feed or subscription to new topics? OK so now I have tried it out and I can tell you exactly how it works:
If you subscribe to a forum (as I mentioned if you have more forums on the board you have to subscribe to them one by one) you will get an email every time some one posts a new topic: So as you can see, to get a notification about each post you will need to track the topic then you will get this: Quote:
Yourusername,
Memberusername has just posted a reply to a topic that you have subscribed to titled "Topic title".
The topic can be found here: http://forumname.#.forumer.com/index...iew=getnewpost
There may be more replies to this topic, but only 1 email is sent per board visit for each subscribed topic. This is
to limit the amount of mail that is sent to your inbox.
| I'm sorry if I let you think something else in my previous reply, I haven't tried the feature before.
As you can see you will not get the post content in your email. Maybe it's possible to have a mod made but you would need to ask (request a mod) at fMods. |
[No Name Forums][RCX forums][Forum Promotion][IHWC forums] USEFUL TIP: If your support request gets resolved, click on THREAD TOOLS > MARK THIS THREAD AS SOLVED. This will mark the thread RESOLVED and will close the thread. (please use this tip!) Please do not PM/e-mail me for support unless I ask you to.
Do a search and if you don't find your answer create a thread with your question and I will be happy to help. I can not be replying the same answer over and over in an e-mail/PM. Thanks. |
