Forumer's IPB 1.3 (I've never tried other host so I wouldn't know if it is the same there) also can ensure that you are not deleted if you know how to use it. Only the root admin can edit/delete all accounts (himself as well I guess and that's a mistake many people make when learning how to use the adminCP, instead of creating a test account they experiment with their own and then come here to cry when they demote them selfs).
If I need to have other admins on my IPB board I will create a second admin group and put them there, that will restrict them from using some of the most critical features of the admin CP (like system settings) and also will not allow them in any way edit or delete the root admin account so it stays safe.
