Sub forums are only available to IPB. If you are using IPB, then when you are creating a new forum, instead of putting it in the forum topic (Example Nintendo), put it in the forum of another previously made forum (Like Nintendo General Discussion)
In your drop down list it will look like this
Nintendo
----Nintendo General Discussion <-----------Select this one
+----Your Sub forum will appear here and you have now completed it!
----More Forums
