How do I tell?
There are a number of ways you can tell, most of which are located in the footer (the very bottom) of your forum's index page. On an I.P.B (Invision Power Board) forum the text reads something like:

If it doesn't say IPB then you need to request support elsewhere!



Also the number in your URL (http://yourforumname.#.furumer.com) represents the number of the server your forum is on and you required to chose the prefix in your support question to indicate that number.......some servers host IPB and some host phpBB forums and the prefix for each shows in the relevant support section ONLY.

So if your url is for example http://yourforumname.10.furumer.com and you can't find no.10 between the IPB prefixes that should tell you that your question doesn't belong here.......
