This will never happen. And besides, you are wrong on the second part.
Viking, about 3 weeks ago, I have submitted a request to Limez about the Mass e-mail, avatars, etc due to the high demands for these features.
However, to be honest, I think we are going to wait until phpBB3 to go ahead and ad on these features on.
